Comfort Food: My Father's Meatballs

My Father’s Meatballs

 

Here’s a recipe for the meatballs my Dad made to go along with his spaghetti sauce.

 

Meatballs

 

8 Slices – Dry Bread

2 Lbs – Ground Beef

4 – Eggs

1 Cup – Parmesan or Romano Cheese

¼ Cup – Snipped Parsley

2 Cloves – Garlic

1 Tsp – Crushed Oregano

2 Tsp – Salt

Dash – Pepper

4 Tbl – Oil for cooking

 

Soak the bread in water for 2-3 minutes.

Squeeze moisture out of the soaked bread.

Combine bread with all remaining ingredients EXCEPT OIL

Form mixture into balls

Brown in hot oil.

Complete cooking in oven at 350 for 20 minutes or add to sauce and complete cooking there.
