Craving brownies, but you'd like to minimize the "hit" from oil, eggs, etc? And, by the way, need some more fiber in your diet? Well, its DooDah brownies to the rescue.

Never content to leave well enough alone, my Daughter (aka DooDah) and my wife came up with this slight variation.
Ingredients:
Preheat your oven to 350F.
Cover the bran flakes with the water and allow to sit until the water has been absorbed. Stir occasionally.
In a separate bowl blend together the brownie mix and baking powder.
When the bran flakes have absorbed the water and have softened, add the wet bran flakes to the brownie powder. Stir until all the brownie mix has been wetted by the bran mush.
Use either a standard size or mini muffin pan. You could also use a quadrilateral baking pan, but this will lengthen the baking time.
Put a "blast" of cooking spray in the bottom of each muffin cup of your chosen size pan and spoon in the batter.
Bake for 30 minutes or until a knife comes out clean from the center of a couple of muffins.
Allow to cool for five minutes and then turn out onto a rack. The muffins will be very soft at first, but will firm as they cool.
The muffins are moiist and delicious and to me, taste just like a brownie.
Good for meals on the go or as a snack or desert.
