The Executive Director of Race & Sports at Wynn Las Vegas (last seen on these pages weighing up the Oscar odds) has turned his talent over to crafting odds as to the man (or indeed woman) who will fill those formidable shoes.
As always, NewsFeed notes that this is all just for fun and no real money can be wagered. But the odds-on favorite appears to be Neil Patrick Harris at 10/1, closely followed by Kelly Ripa's husband, the silky-smooth actor Mark Consuelos at 12/1.
Other candidates near the top of the -- yes! -- 34 runners and riders (you really do have a lot of time on your hands, don't you Johnny?) include Martin Short (15/1), Jeff Probst (18/1) and Ryan Seacrest (22/1).
If you think it will become a female fronted show, Kathy's Griffin (45/1) and Lee Gifford (500/1) are available as are E! Network's Giuliana Rancic (100/1), and, apparently twice as unlikely, the sublime Betty White at 200/1.
